What year are we in????

After reading this I honestly wondered what year we are in. Are you kidding me?? UMMMMM Brown vs the Board of Education happened like 53 years ago folks. What kind of school allows a "separate" prom to happen each year until now. All the more reason why I never really want to visit or live in the South.

I just read that article and I honestly can't believe that it is true. I feel like I am in the movie "Back to the Future" or something. Whoa. Here's to integration!

I am so disgusted. You know what is sad? There are so, so many people in Phoenix who will not send their kids to a school if there are too many Mexicans. It really makes me quite mad.

I am so with you on this one. Jeff was looking at an internship in Alabama when we were first married and I said no way!! It is crazy to me that there are people who still think they are better than others based on the color of skin.

Just on my soapbox.. this article doesn't represent the views of the majority of people in the South. I think sometimes newspapers fish for articles like this to perpetrate biases & stereotypes. I would love to visit the South, some of the nicest people I have met of all different backgrounds have been from there.
