Fazendo Arte

In Brasil when a child is acting out or doing something mischievous the parent often tells the child to stop "fazendo arte" or translated, 'making art'. Well Julia was quite literally "fazendo arte" a few weeks ago. Please refer to the above work of art drawn all over her bedroom carpet. And this was a HUGE picture by the way.

Hmmm.... Permanent but cute art. Sorry! How would you get that out? Besides replacing carpet, that is?

Ahh.. Amy! On the positive side, it is really good!:) So glad I'm not the only one that is defeated by their children.

Although she did it in a crayola washable marker we have discovered that it really isn't so washable on carpet. We did get a lot of it out but there is a permanent light blue smudge on the carpet.

Oh the joys:) Just think of President Monson's talk...one day we will miss the smudges.

Carpet?!!! With marker?! Well . . . I'm just happy to know I'm not alone. (The caramel in the boys' room will never come out either.) Oh well, Karmy's right. I know we'll miss these days terribly.

Wait, I'm about to make you feel better: nail polish on my dining room table (can't wipe it or it will take the finish off), nail polish remover on the kitchen table (took the finish off), paint spilled on bedroom carpet and tile floor, hole cut in linoleum with a knife while child was sitting on the toilet (KNIFE???!!!), Sharpie drawings on walls, shoe polish on carpet, chunk of carpet pulled out completely, dented refrigerator door, pink kool-aid stain on tile floor, red Chloraseptic stains on bedroom carpet, dining room chair seats stained pink, fried pool filter, twice, and um...criminy, and that's just depressing. You have to have the patience of Job and nerves of steal to be a parent!
