This is the "beautiful" outfit Julia decided to wear last week for an outing to the library. We had borrowed that giant shirt at my sister's house because she spilled something on her clothes and so it was sitting there on her dresser waiting to be returned. Apparently she thought it would make a pretty awesome dress. Put it together with beaded socks, red sparkly shoes and a few painful stuffed animals and let the good times roll. I really didn't want to let her leave the house like that but sometimes it's just not worth the fight. At least I still have control over what Cole wears. I cringed everytime someone looked at us. I wanted to hold up a sign saying, "I did not dress this child."

I feel your pain! Sometimes it's Alli's clothes, but usually it's her hair that I'm embarassed by. ha ha
she looks happy and that is all that matters right?
I just have to laugh for all the times that you gave me a hard time about Camille's outfits!! :)
She's definitely got some style:)
Well, you already know how I feel about this particular battle. :) I am a proud mom to one daughter who will only wear shoes if she's wearing three pairs of socks. Three. And that's just the beginning . . . . There are too many other issues for style to make a blip on the radar.
That's awesome! I've stopped trying with Kate. She notoriously wears mismatched shoes, several layers of shirts and a skirt with pants underneath, unless it's freezing outside then she just wears the skirt. It's honestly not worth the battle.
oh wow! Now that is one great outfit!! And I love it with the shoes! Oh these are the posts that make me smile and make me really miss julia!!
Love it! These are the days:)
I applaud her individuality! Wouldn't it be great if that self-confidence could last through her teen years?
You're a good mom Amy, don't ever let anything make you think otherwise!
I totally dig the outfit. I could see tie-dyed shirt dresses on the runway next season. :) Amy I miss you. I'm so thankful for your blog, because I can totally hear your voice in your writing. I think you're awesome, a totally unique and confident woman and I love you. Thanks for putting yourself online!
