As seen on CNN

I was just reading the news on CNN and found it laughable that these 2 articles appeared in the news feed today. Talk about contrast.

Article One is a very disturbing story of a "live demonstration" that occurred in a discussion group after a human sexuality class.

Article two is the by now well known story of BYU's dismissal of a basketball player for an honor code violation. I say, good for BYU for demanding that all students (even star athletes) uphold their end of a contract that they WILLINGLY signed when they started BYU. If BYU's honor code is too "strict" as some feel it is, that person has the choice to not attend the university. I do feel really sorry for the guy because he has got to feel really lame at this point. Talk about everyone knowing "your business". Thanks BYU for showing us that integrity is more important than winning an NCAA championship.

yes, this is a very disturbing article. How is it that we are at a point in our society where a professor could possibly think this was an OK thing to do and how is it possible that so many students chose to stay for this!!

Good grief. That professor is sick. But what disturbed me the most was the comments at the end of that article! Totally explains the rampant use of pornography in the world today.
I agree with your assessment of the Davies situation - it set a positive example of integrity for everyone. Sad for the team and for Davies, but I think it will come out ok in the end.

Totally ironic! All I can say is that I chose the right school!
