Every time I hold my sweet little baby Cole in my arms I wonder if it is humanly possible to love him even more than I already do. It's strange thinking that just 5 days ago I had never met him when now I can't imagine our little family without him. (hopefully I will still feel this way when he is a teenager :))

Cole Stansel Adams
He's arrived!!!
Cole Stansel Adams was born April 24th at 5:40pm. He weighed 9lbs and 90z 21 1/2 inches. Kind of small compared to his brother, but Amy's sure glad he's here a week early! Mom and baby are doing very well and want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers.

No Turning Back
In 7 hours I will be at the hospital to birth my little baby. I am terrified and excited by this whole process. And please let the baby be non-gigantic.

I'm not the only one nesting
When we came home from my Mom's house last week we discovered that a bird had made a nest in the wreath on our front door. She must have been scared off though, because there are no signs other than the nest of the bird.
Apparently birds really like our house. We have found several nests in our yard and there is even one in our vent at the top of our garage complete with chirping birds.

Only 2 more days to go (hopefully)until our baby bird hatches:)

Fun at Grandma's House
We spent the last week at my Mom's home. We went down for Easter last week and then Mike returned so he could finish up tax season and I stayed down there with my sister and her kids for several days. Mike joined us after April 15th and got to enjoy some good golf and the beach.
Thanks Mom for such a fun time.
I'm always amazed by the sheer amount of flowers at my Mom's house. She grows the most beautiful flowers ever. There are always freshly cut flowers in various vases throughout the house. (If only I had inherited the desire to work in the garden)

15.5 more days to go
So close, yet so far away. This little (hopefully) guy is scheduled to make his appearance on April 24th. I'm supposed to show up to the hospital at 6am (that should be fun) on that day for all of the fun to begin. My doctor did warn me that with half of all of the inductions he schedules, the mother goes into labor on her own beforehand. This happened with Julia. I have to say that I am a little nervous about being induced, but I'd rather be induced than take the chance of having another gigantic baby. Mike thinks the baby will weigh 9.5 lbs. I told him that wasn't a very funny joke! I'd like to keep him in the 8 lb range, but of course I don't really have a say in that do I?

One for me and one for you...
Sometimes I feel guilty making things that I don't really need. For example, I didn't really need a new diaper bag but I wanted one. So to make myself feel not so selfish for sewing something totally unnecessary I told my good friend who is due a week after me that I would make her one too.
I finished them yesterday and I think they both turned out pretty cute. Mine is the one above.
